Sandboxie has changed hands twice I think, from the original developer to Invincea, who were in turn acquired by Sophos (and there are rumors that Sophos is up for sale as well). Hope you would like it too.The activity of the sandbox don't affect Windows or your other programs/files in any way what happens in Sandboxie stays in Sandboxie. I have been using Sandboxie Plus Classic mainly to sandbox my browsers and find it a useful tool for protection in addition to my resident antivirus. Since 5.45, they finally purchased (at apparent great expense) a legit cert from Microsoft so should no longer receive the false positives.
Prior to 5.45, the opensource version of SBIE was using a rogue cert (for lack of a better term) that caused a lot of false positive mal-ware issues.
